Anna Parsons
Officer
In 1998 Co-Director Paula Paoli joined Anna’s family in Tampa, FL as a cultural exchange student/big sister/daughter, and seeds were planted. Paula left for the University of Florida 2 years later, where the roots of Plenitud PR began to grow. Anna kept practicing & teaching gynecology & developed sonohysterography, a gentle and safe way to perfect an accurate image of distressed uteri. She retired as a professor emeritus from University of South Florida Medical School in 2014, and continues to work in free clinics around Tampa.
The dormant seeds joyfully sprouted in 2015 when Anna & Paula reconnected. Paula introduced both Owen and the story of Plenitud PR while reworking Anna’s kitchen garden one afternoon. Anna was inspired by all three! Her fandom grew when Hurricane Maria vividly confirmed the importance & effectiveness of Plenitud PR’s sustainable farming, water harvesting and bio-building techniques, increasingly used to support the Las Marias community. Three generations of Parsons felt the tenacious spirit of unforced love and saw the fruits of its practical applications when they visited Plenitud PR as 2019 began.
