Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Aura moved to Puerto Rico in her 20s, where she raised four children in Mayaguez with her lifelong partner, Archie. While Aura’s dentistry practice of 40+ years committed her time, she has been an active supporter of Plenitud PR since the early days, believing in the vision and mission of her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Owen, in creating a space to be in and serve communities. Now, Aura is dedicating her retirement to service through Plenitud PR’s community initiatives, focusing on strengthening relationships with the organization’s Senior Care participants, coordinating events and workshops to promote healthy eating in the area, and creating a volunteer program. In Aura’s free time, you can find her sharing with her church community, spending time with her grandchildren, and creating delicious healthy food in the kitchen.
